Let’s Talk Bookish is a meme where participants discuss specific topics, share their opinions, and share their love by visiting each other’s posts.
Hello! so, here I am, although it’s a bit late to post last week’s post.
The topic is: Seeing the Real World Through Books
Prompts: Many fiction books have messages about social issues, current events, and more. Some are underlying themes, and others are much more overt. Are you more drawn to books that dive into these serious topics, or do you prefer to have fiction be more of an escape from the world? What are some novels that have impacted you? What do you think are the most effective ways for authors to get their messages across?

Both, in my opinion, are equally good.
Personally, I don’t think they should be compared.
Everyone is different from the other. I believe that while fiction nourishes the spirit, non-fiction feeds the mind. In other words, the former instructs the brain on what actions are appropriate and inappropriate, while the latter develops greater empathy in the soul.
I think that although a person cannot experience every emotion in his life, he may experience them when he reads fiction. For instance, most of us never actually experience losing our significant other, but when we read fiction, we may virtually experience it. It doesn’t have to be a setback; it might also be something positive, like receiving a long-awaited prize or something similar. We experience what it’s like to be there.
On the other hand, Non-Fiction confers so much knowledge onto you that you have the option to improve your life by heeding its advice.
Non-fiction and fiction are two sides of the same coin; one is meaningless alone.
What do you think are the most effective ways for authors to get their messages across?
Although I’m not aware of any particular strategies writers might use to effectively communicate their ideas, I think reading novels that address a wide variety of social issues can be incredibly enriching and thought-provoking. These types of novels have the power to open our eyes to different perspectives and experiences, and can help foster empathy and understanding. They shed light on important social issues such as discrimination, inequality, and injustice, and can inspire readers to take action and make positive changes in society. Additionally, these novels often provide a platform for marginalized voices to be heard, allowing their stories to be told and acknowledged. Overall, I believe that novels that tackle social issues have the ability to educate, challenge, and entertain, making them a valuable and important genre to explore.
What do you think? Do you enjoy reading novels that address a wide variety of social issues?
