Hello! so, it’s been a while since my last LTB post.

Today’s topic is: Rainy Day Reading

Prompts: Are there certain kinds of books that you love to read when it’s raining? What about when it’s sunny? How does the weather correspond to the books you read?

The contrast between being snuggled up at home while it’s raining outside is so peaceful and comforting that I enjoy a rainy day.

When it rains, I’d like to grab a book to read as the raindrops pound onto our windows or thunder rumbles in the distance.

Some books just have different effects on readers depending on the weather, particularly during downpours or thunderstorms.

some Classics…. a bit dark, gloomy

Dracula by Bram Stoker
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

fantasy and dark….

Black Dagger Brotherhood  by J.R. Ward
The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter by Laurell K. Hamilton
Midnight Breed by Lara Adrian

crime…

Hercule Poirot by Agatha Christie
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle
Miss Marple by Agatha Christie

I believe, that there are books that are perfect for a certain weather.

As for when it’s sunny, i like to read a bright, warm book that make me feel happy. I prefer to read Happy Ending Romance.

Books put me into certain moods and the weather puts me into certain moods.

What about you? Are there certain kinds of books that you love to read when it’s raining? How does the weather correspond to the books you read?

Welcome to Bookflowerpath, my cozy little corner of the internet where books bloom and my TBR pile quietly judges me.

Here you’ll find all things bookish — swoony romances, spicy romances, sports/mafia romances, honest reviews, chaotic reading thoughts, bookish posts and general book chatter — posted in both Italian and English, because my reading life (much like my personality) refuses to stick to just one language.

So grab a warm drink, get comfy, and let’s wander this book-filled path together. Just beware of falling fictional crushes. 🌸📖
