This week’s topic is
Books That Would Have Made Amazing Movies/TV Series
Do you ever finish reading a book and immediately think, “This would make an amazing movie or TV series?” The power of storytelling in books has the ability to transport us to new worlds, introduce us to fascinating characters, and keep us on the edge of our seats with thrilling plots. So, it’s no wonder that many readers often dream of seeing their favorite books come to life on the screen.
The Ravenels Series by Lisa Kleypas
This series, which is geared for fans of historical romance and Bridgerton, centers on a different family and group of siblings who all manage to live happily ever after during the Regency period. The individuality of the people, their struggles, and the drama that surrounds them would make the Ravenels the ideal romantic tv series, but the historical period alone would make it an amazing show to watch. I would really want to see it adapted for the small screen.
The Ravenhood by Kate Stewart
Many readers have cried uncontrollably and lost their sleep after reading this 3-book series by Kate Stewart. After reading this novel, readers frequently express how devastated they are for days or even months, fixating on Sean, Dom, and Tobias and their relationship with Cecelia. It would be nothing short of spectacular to watch her brilliant characters and plot come to life! In addition, we would get to see a gorgeous Frenchman who is attempting to break the power of THE MAN and society on TV.
The Royals by Erin Watt
For Addicts of Cruel Intentions, Young Adult Romance, and One Tree Hill
This series has it all—prep school angst, high school bullying, family turmoil, lies and betrayal, and an enemies to lovers romance to start.
Winston Brothers by Penny Reid
featuring the intriguing, amusing, endearing and hot Winston brothers.
Not only would Reid’s Winston Brothers books make one of the best romance TV shows but elements and characters from various Smartypants Romance books could also make an appearance. These books not only have the romance appeal but also have a fascinating look at a motorcycle club in a small town. The Iron Wraiths would make for some interesting if not shady TV characters, giving an enticing suspense and action angle to this potential romance TV series.
Jameson Force Security by Sawyer Bennett
Since Bennett’s Jameson Force Security series offers the best of all three, a romantic TV series based on this ten-book series would be among the finest. When it comes to adapting this story to television, the possibilities are endless because it has an exclusive group of alpha spies, each with their own unique tales, romantic interests, and exploits. For added reader appeal, I wouldn’t mind if the Jameson TV series included some of the adult-rated pastimes of the team members who frequent the Wicked Horse Las Vegas—another HOT romance novel written by Bennett.
Central Park Pact by Lauren Layne
Nothing compares to a woman being rejected, but what if a man rejected three different women? I can already picture the scene from the premiere episode: these beautiful women, who all missed the burial of the man they were sleeping with, gather in Central Park. I would like watching their lives unfold on television as they work to find the ideal partner for each other and grow closer to one another. In addition, the outfit seems like a great idea!
Riggs Brothers by Julie Kriss
For Those Who Enjoy Small Town Romance, if a TV show about a mechanic, a former police officer, an ex-con, a minor league baseball player, and a single father with a corrupt father were created, no one would be pleading for viewers. The female leads are as compelling as characters, and you have excellent male characters to lead this program. A tad rougher, a tad dirtier, and a whole lot sexier—these novels would make for some of the greatest romantic television series.
Heartbreaker Bay by Jill Shalvis
This choice completely ages me because Shalvis’ book series is similar to 1990s TV shows like Melrose Place, which had a fantastic cast of characters and an abundance of drama and love among them.
The novels in the Heartbreaker Bay Series, which center on an apartment complex and bar next door, would make an excellent, long-running romantic television series.
There is already a romantic movie on Passionflix based on The Trouble With Mistletoe, but I would want to see a TV series based on the full series of books including an amazing San Francisco Location.
HOOPS by Kennedy Ryan
For Those who are addicted of Sports Romance and Survivor’s Remorse
Where are all the TV shows about sports romance set? Ryan’s HOOOPS lads are the perfect guys to satisfy your want to watch a TV show about professional basketball players—you won’t have to force me to do it.
This romance TV series could have it all, including plots involving professional sports, domestic violence, second chances, and more.
Real by Katy Evans
For Lovers of Sports Romance.
Too frequently, mental health is ignored while being a very essential subject that has to be investigated and talked about. Evans’ Real series, which centers on a boxer with bipolar disorder and is among my best romantic novels that addresses mental health, would be the ideal medium. The boxing fights in this book series would make for an exciting romance TV show, but what would really appeal to me would be Remington’s human side and that of his love interest, Brooke.
