What are some bookish or blogging myths that you’ve heard of?
You can choose to write about bookish myths, or blogging myths, or about both! talk about some myths, untrue sayings, and untrue expectations that people have about books/reading and blogging.
In the world of books and blogging, there are many myths and misconceptions that can often discourage aspiring writers and content creators.
#1 You Need to Read a Book a Day to Be a Book Blogger
One of the most widespread myths in the bookish community is that being a good book blogger requires reading one book per day. For book bloggers, consistency in reading is crucial, but quality always comes first. It’s OK to spend your time reading a book, enjoying every page, and crafting insightful evaluations that accurately express your ideas and viewpoints.
#2 Blogging is Easy and Anyone Can Do It
Many people believe that blogging is a simple method to become well-known online or earn money. Nonetheless, being a successful blogger demands commitment, diligence, and a sincere love for the subjects you write about. Producing material isn’t the only thing to do; you also need to interact with your audience, create a community, and never stop honing your writing.
#3 You Have to Fit Into a Specific Niche to Be Successful

#4 Book bloggers only read popular books
The idea that book bloggers just read best-sellers or widely read books is another misconception. As it happens, book bloggers read a wide range of books and frequently take pleasure in discovering new authors and genres. Finding hidden treasures and assisting independent writers are something that many bloggers take great satisfaction in.
#5 You need to have a huge following to work with publishers
Although having a sizable following helps draw in publishers, it’s not the only thing they look at when hiring bloggers. Publishers also seek out active, enthusiastic bloggers who are true book lovers and provide excellent material. Regardless of the number of followers you have, cultivating connections with publishers through networking and exhibiting your own voice may frequently lead to opportunities.
#6 DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER – A SAYING THAT MOST DON’T FOLLOW
That applies to me; this is not a myth; it is the reality.
#7 READING IS A WASTE OF TIME – THE MOST RIDICULOUS STATEMENT EVER
Reading appears to be losing its significance in a society when there are so many instant gratification options and diversions. But to claim that reading is a waste of time is not only ludicrous, but it also ignores the many advantages that reading presents.
